Excellent location
I rented the house for my siblings who have disabilities and I camped at Headquarters campsite all weekend.
They packed up and day camped with us. 😃
My nieces camped with me but they are in college so they came to the house to study on Sunday.
The house gave our family a chance to all be together again like we did for years when we were younger. Location was perfect. Some of our family likes to tent camp and the ones that can’t stayed here in the house.

My husband wanted a short getaway from the heat and we really enjoyed staying in the cabin Papa’s Paradise Guesthouse in Kennedy Meadows. The cabin was just the perfect size and in a beautiful private area in Kennedy Meadows. We really enjoyed the short walk up the hill to the lookout deck with spectacular sunrise and sunset views! The cabin was fully stocked with kitchen items, snacks and drinks. There was a fire pit and wood was provided. We hiked along the Pacific Crest Trail and took a drive to Sherman Pass with awesome views of Mt. Whitney. I would highly recommend Papa’s Paradise cabin for your next adventure in the quiet wilderness!

This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend. Water, power, and hot water worked perfectly in this off grid cabin. There were clear instructions for use of the wood fired stove for heating and it kept the cabin comfortable. We really enjoyed that we were able to walk to the PCT from the cabin and enjoy a nice day hike along the trail. We got to have a lovely weekend in a beautiful location in a comfortable cabin.

10/10 would recommend staying here. As a PCT section hiker, this house was the perfect place to stay. It had EVERYTHING we needed (5 adults 1 toddler) to be comfortable, the location is .7 miles from the trail, an amazing backyard walk to the General Store and such a great porch (we spent the majority of our pre and post hike just hanging out and grilling. Will def book again when I return to do the next section.
